Floodwaters in Jakarta Confirmed to Recede Completely

Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD) recorded all inundated areas in Jakarta have receded fully at 2 PM, Wednesday (7/9).

Jakarta BPBD Head, Isnawa Adji thanked the collaboration of BPBD, Water Resources Agency, Fire Handling and Rescue Agency, Bina Marga Agency, Environmental Agency, Satpol PP and Urban Village PPSU by deploying personnel and equipment to handle the inundation.

"Community from RT/RW, FKDM, and public figure are also involved," he added.

Jakarta Flood Management Must Involve Buffer Zones

Jakarta BPBD appeals the residents to remain alert with another inundation potential.

"Please contact our free 24-hour service at 112 for an emergency situation," he continued.

Previously, heavy rain that poured in Jakarta and its surrounding areas on Saturday (7/5) until Monday (7/7) made the road and residential were inundated.
